Hi Wayne

They are usually made by Mann or Hengst, i thin the dealer will be a good place. I have bought them but have'nt installed. The car has been sitting in my drive for weeks now due to the weather will start doing maintence next week and change them.

I will be also doing the diff and transmission fluid soon.

Bought multiple sets from eluka888 on eBay, very happy with 'em and price was better than the dealer. Waiting for a set in the mail right now for my new-to-me 8, as the current ones are disgustingly dirty.

Wayne,

The micro filter is part #3 in the diagram and there are 2 of them. Aftermarket ones are generally just paper filters whereas oem ones have a paper/charcoal filter hence the price difference. OEM are noticeably better.

That cover is in the middle, far back of engine bay by the windscreen. A 5 min job.
