This isn't a civic, you aren't going to get power gains out of a muffler or exhaust in general unless you change the entire exhaust setup, from the headers back. If you want to change the sound, ask around if people have videos of their exhaust. As to the wood trim, expect to pay a pretty penny for it in good condition.

I know there are wood trim kits for the E34s on ebay, maybe try one of those? I don't think I would myself, but I dont think they could be that bad, they're like $200-$300

when you say its for a manual, do you mean the shifter surround part? or the entire wood trim, i doubt that the transmission has anything to do with the wood trim....

I'm in the same boat on the wood trim, but plan on refinishing them. Maybe make some molds and do CF.

Yea, or if you had some, try molding some Aluminum. That could be really badass and original for an E34

Aluminum would be difficult for DIY, you'd need a press. CF or fiberglass is fairly easy. Just need to use special liquid silicone for the mold and then a vacuum bag setup to make the parts. Only a few issues; CF is real expensive and even though the bagging process will result in a strong part it's not as strong as something put into an autoclave (not really an issue for this though :)).
