Last summer I was looking at Rial Daytona Races for my car... they were being discontinued.

This spring I was looking at SSR SP-1s..... they are being discontinued.

Also looking at SSR GT2s...... THEY ARE BEING DISCONTINUED AS WELL!!!



The heck gives? Every decent wheel for a decent price is dropping off the face of the earth :confused


...leaving me moderately pissed and without anything decent to replace stockers with. :mad




Is there any plan to fill the gap? Most other wheels in that price range look just shy of mediocre at best.

Why are you getting upset at Tirerack???.. they don't manufacture the wheels, they just sell them. If they are being discontinued, it's the maker.

Perhaps, they could offer insight into if anything is coming through the pipelines to fill this gap that is being left.

ahh.. ok.. just a venting moment..huh. I hear you. It's all about supply and demand. As enthusiasts, we get picky about our particular styling and what not.. but the makers don't care.. what sells is what they'll make. Sorry, nothing we peons can do.

It's a damn shame too, the GT2s were one of the best performance wheels they carried for BMW's. That all happened while SSR got bought out by Tanabe.

The GT2's and GT2-H's are NLA but if you really like the SP-1s you can still get them in custom sizes at more-japan.com, but it's gunna cost you an arm and a leg.

To bad my ssr sp1 professors,18x9, black w/polished rim doesnt have the same bolt pattern as the BMW,because i have a sweet set w/tires for sale from my 06 evo.
