i have an 01 e39 and my left xenon went out... at first i thought it was the bulb but after checking the socket i realized a part of it was melted. After i played around with it a bit it started working again but now when i turn the lights on it flickers and turns off....

any one have a clue what could have cause this problem? faulty wires? ill try to take pics later on in the day to show exactly what is wrong...
