The stock setup is really the best. and its free. If your looking for power, then its gonna cost more then 400 dallars. But if you just want to hear the engine, a simple resenator delete will liven the exhuast up quite a bit. While still staying roucghly close to the stock setup. thats my .02 Blitzkrieg Bob 04-10-2008, 09:45 PM how much hp would a system like that add? do you know of any brands that are cheaper like 400 dollar range? Go to the websites and check them out. $400? I wish! Unfortunately, I don't think it'll add any to much hp to your car (unless you do some other mods to compliment it) MaxSteel 04-11-2008, 04:25 AM How much is it for a shop to weld new piping for a magnaflow 14815? Fleksta 04-11-2008, 08:07 AM don't delete the resonator. unfortunately, you don't have a 540 and have less displacement and without the insulating and reflective components within the exhaust pipes and chambers, you'll just create annoying rasp. I did the resonator delete with magnaflow 14815, no rasp. It sounds awesome, nice and aggressive when getting on it, but almost silent just cruising down the interstate. How much is it for a shop to weld new piping for a magnaflow 14815? I was charged about $350 for them to cut the old system out and custom bend the pipes back from the cat. The magnaflow is a tight fit but I did not need to do any cutting around the rear skirt. No signs of melting plastic either. Analog 04-11-2008, 08:33 AM I would just straight pipe it past the resonator. Cheapest also. You will gain a little hp no matter what route you take. Remember, anything that will restrict exhaust flow will cutdown hp. But don't expect too much gain from it. Oh, and backpressure is BS. |
