Need to find the BEST back seat protection for if/when I ever have to transport my two border collies around... There was this back-seat (grey) felt-like thing I saw in an accessories brochure for like $300 that attaches to both backs of the front seats and wraps up to cover the whole back (window arm rests and seats) --> looked pretty good. I don't think it was advertised for dogs, but it looked like it WOULD work for dogs.

What do you guys use?

Thanks.

bmw sells a cover for the back seat made for pets. Its in the accessories catalogue, or check out the bmw web site store. i dont think its that expensive 70 or 80 bucks. I have a boxer and i just lay a blanket in the back of my 330 (doesnt help with the window shmeg he leaves!)

see that's the biggest concern. my older dog drools and gets really excited and jumps on the window to try and chase the cars, so after a 2 hour trip, the side of the inside driver's side door is full of drool drippings! Not cool :)

Let's just say the dogs will be going in my Wife's Murano :)

I bought a cover from Pet Smart for our SUV. Not fitted for the seat as we had to cut some holes for the latches and stuff, but better than her ruining the leather.

I looked at the pic of the $300 seat-cover from BMW (sedan only, though might fit the coupe?). Sheesh, that thing is ridiculous. Might as well just throw the dog into a triple-ply garbage bag and be done with it. Kidding.

My dog is only about 35lbs and she wears a harness which keeps her on one side of the back-seat. So a basic seat cover is probably fine. I'm looking for one, will check out the local pet stores.

Yah, that's the one... $295 - "Universal Protective Rear Cover"

Seems way too high priced, but going off of the picture, it would cover EVERYTHING I would need it to cover :) Still, going to Petco or something would probably be much much cheaper. Remember, I have two dogs that would be back there... yikes! Both are about 40 lbs.

I got the full rear seat cover from Kozy K-9. It attaches to the rear headrests, cascades down and into the footwell but does not go back up and attach to the front seat headrests. It cost $90 from Amazon. You can pay $120 for the one with seatbelt holes, but I figured on saving the $30 and cutting my own.

Interesting, will check that out. I'm most concerned about the back seats but then also the inside back doors because that is where the drool collects. Man, I'm just stupid to even consider putting the dogs back there. :help
