It's time for me to change the OBC light bulbs. I followed the description on DIY on this site to the point that the radio is out , I can see the OBC lever on the left side but on the right side there is a black trim piece at the corner. How do you get that out to access the lever? I couldn't figure out how it's mounted and I don't want to brake it. The DIY shows the case of an e38 which is different having a wood trim piece. Any of you guys went through this? Thanks in advance for your help.

Not sure which e38 (?) writeup you read but here's a direct link to Don Gales writeup with ilustrations and pics..his write-up is for hte e32 & e34: http://www.nmia.com/~dgnrg/page_36.htm
BTW...you weren't referring to the pic below (from DG's website linked above) in regards to having the wood trim (this is an e32 7 series...not e38). :D

Sorry for the confusion. You're right that's the pic I was looking at and is the e32 not 38 as I typed by mistake. On my e34 I can't push the wood trim to access the right hand lever ( as shown in the pic). E34 has an other black plastic trim ending that corner which I still couldn't figure out how to pull out. Looks pretty fragile. Well, my radio is still hanging out until I find a solution. Thanks

Try pulling gently on the left lever, and you may be able to loosen it without getting at the right lever. If it isn't going to budge, then you may need to push both at the same time. I did it once with just the left, and I had no issues.

just pull out the radio and gently pull out the OBC with flat screwdriver on both side...
