The radio on my wife's 335 resets to a different station when the car is turned off. Does anyone know a fix for this problem?

It is set to the fob. Does it change on yours to hers, or to hers every time. If it changes to hers every time, then it needs software reloaded. stealership. sorry

Actually, she's the one who usually drives it. And when I do drive it it's always with her key. I wonder if the fob is defective?

Sounds like the software for the radio needs reset. Go to e90 post and search for radio software. there is a way to make the car tell you what software edition is in it, then search for service bullitens.


FOUND IT.

Start the car and turn off the radio.
Shut off the car
Start the car again and then turn on the radio.
turn off the radio
turn on the radio
Hold the "m" key for 10+ seconds and wait for the radio s/n info to display
Push the "+" softkey for software info display


Sometimes you don't have to repeat the on/off for the radio, sometimes you might have to do it 3 times. Mine takes 3 times then hold M button.
