My 1998 M3 dual climate control is possessed :evil2

The display sometimes fades and the system turns off. A while later, it comes back on and operates again, with no rhyme or reason. Sometimes the lights around the digital display turn on, sometimes they turn off.

Do I need holy water and a Catholic priest? Or is there a worldy explanation?:help

The time has come! The $2.50 resistor needs replacement. That is a common problem with BMW's digital climate control. I had mine done by this guy from New York (His name is Eddie Cobas) for $55 last year and he guarantee it as long as he lives (I hope he doesn't die soon) and so far so good.
