hey guys,

this morning i install the famous sunstar $70 ebay HIDs into my 97 m3. the install was smooth moron proof. plugs and play.

so at lunch time i was fiddling with my car, cleaning, checking oil that sort of thing. i turned on the HIDs to look at my new mod:redspot and had them on for maybe 10min at the most while i was doing other things. i then shut them off locked that car and BAM its totally dead. i used a jump box to bring it back to life and it runs fine now. starts up repeadly and shows no signs of a weak or near dead battery.

is this just a fluke? or do i have a dying battery and playing with the HIDs while the car was not running just drain it dead. like i say, everything seems just fine now.

any help is appreciated.

Louie:)

having your hids on for 10mins and not having the engine running will drain your battery quick....that happened to me when i was messing around with my retrofit
