I installed my SSTT Friday in about 5 minutes. Very simple once you see where it goes.

During local driving this weekend, I did not notice any change.

But...

In Sport mode, acceleration felt much stronger. "Manually" shifting resulted in the same result. Much stronger pull from 0 to 100.

I was surprised that in my commute on 95, throttle response from 70 to 100 was much stronger and smoother.

That's normal as the ECU has to adapt. You may not even be at full strength yet. Do a couple of WOT pulls to be sure. :redspot

Do you need to disconnect the battery again after the SSTT is adapted? and how about switching / turning off the DTC during the first installation?

It depends on if the car is cold or not. The instructions are very clear.

Since my car was cold - I simply had to pop the hood, lock the doors, wait for a minute, and install.

Once installed - that was it. No codes or anything.

I just received it 20 min. ago. I read the instruction but they did not mention anything regarding the DTC or what-so-ever. Some guys in the other BMW said that they have to turn off the DTC and etc.

right - it says nothing about DTC. Just make sure you follow the directions for the car before installing.

It is tricky to reach - but now that I have done it - I know what I am looking for. Just need to remember to take it off before service.

DS is definitely an adventure! I use I95 also and passing at 75 in DS gets you to over 100 in a hurry!

I'm confused by this post...I'm not sure what you mean by disconnect the battery AGAIN since you don't have to disconnect it in the first place.

And how would you turn off DTC during installation if the car is off?

In the installation indtructions, there is an option where you disconnect the battery before installation. Obvisouly, you would re-connect it after installation.

DTC is not an issue anywhere in the process.

I have not noticed much of a difference at lower speeds and RPMs. It feels stronger at all speeds, I just really notice it at higher RPMs and/or speeds.

The directions don't say you need to wait if you disconnect the battery.

It says if the engine is cold, open the hood, close the doors, lock the car and wait 30 seconds

or

If the engine is warm, open the hood, close the doors, lock the car and wait 20 minutes

or

If the engine is warm and you can't wait 20 minutes - disconnect the battery.

My car was cold so I opted for the first option. I wasn't sure if disconecting the battery would reset anything or if the radio would lock as an anti-theft measure.

I apologize for my ignorance, but what is SSTT exactly? and where does one get it? Thanks.
