I'll try and help with the warranty part. I don't believe it will void the warranty, but to be extra safe, why not just remove the rings when you take the car in for service? That would be the most "safe" method.

Lots of vendors of this forum sell multiple versions of angel eyes.

I have ordered from both www.ddmtuning.com and www.bavtoys.com

I was very pleased with both companies. Both sell good products. Don't waste your time reading reviews cuz you will continue to get different opinions until your eyes bleed. Personally I would order from DDM because their prices are better but I like both companies and would order from either.

Now when I go to buy these I have a couple options. Standard 6500k, Standard 8000k and OE 3000k. I'm not sure what they all mean can someone clear this up for me.

standard 6500k = pure white, matches oem xenon and 5k-6k range as well.
8000k = white with a blue'ish tint, matches 6k hids to 10k.
3000k OE = a yellowish bright output, the idea was to match the OE BMW look but it never quite worked, they are way brighter.

Thank you for your reply and for the pics. I think I might go with the 8000k.

I so want the predator ones for my E36. I just ordered my BT Crystal fogs from BavToys. They seem like a good company to deal with and the prices are pretty damn good.

The Orion AE's are growing on me. The only thing I'd be worried about is it looking retarded. I like the glowing ring (obviously!), I'd just be worried that the LED's would be too noticeably spread apart. The Orions are suppose to pretty much eliminate cold start problems, which is why I'm interested in them. Get's quite cold up here in Canada. :P

I've heard of some issues, yes. Don't quote me on it though. I'm sure Habbie will be able to clarify things much better then I ever could. He's a genius with these things. :D Experience FTW.

I just ordered som Predator 8000k angel-eyes for my 330i ZHP from www.bimmian.com (http://www.bimmian.com). They turned out to be AWESOME and they do not charge you extra for the independant switch. Check out the wbsite and if you are into dress-up mods you will really like this webpage.

i dont see a problem with them. sure, any new product is going to look weird after looking at the same one for so long. i like the orions in the E46, gives it a newer look.

angel eyes sometimes take a while to reach full brightness in cold weather. If you are concerned i believe there are metal transformers that should fix the problem. Or you can go with the rather new Orions which are made of 30 LEDs and start instantly no matter the weather.

An Aftermarket part can only void a warranty if the aftermarket part was directly related to whatever warrantied part failed. so no, they won't void your warranty. Now if you were to install an aftermarket LSD and maybe blew an axleshaft then BMW would probably say that the LSD caused the shaft to fail therefore the warranty on the shaft is void.

so if your headlights stop working they may try to blame it on the angel eyes(?)

I just recently bought orions and installed them myself. I love them and they look great in the day.
The only time you can see the individual led's is if your standing 5-10 feet in front of the cart during the day. otherwise i can't tell

But they look uglier on e36s. The cold start issue is cuz of the inverters. People have bought new inverters that are more weather friendly. Cheap electronics don't stand up to moisture or change in temperature (which cause condensation on electronics that aren't designed to withstand it). When I get my depos I'm gonna wrap the inverters in something, hopefully that would prevent it forme.
