I just picked up a set of 6000k 55w Depo HID's with DDE's from DDMTuning. The product seems great, and the HIDs are a great improvement, but I cannot get the DDE's to work.

I spent some time yesterday working on the drivers side. I made sure all 4 wires are hooked into the light, and they were. I had a high beam and another mixed up, which I fixed. I checked the splice into the grey/purple wire (98 M3 Driver Side), and it was fine. No luck. I took the splicer off, and did it by hand, still no luck. The corner lights still turn on when I put the lights on, and the blinkers work fine.

Any ideas what might be wrong? Car was not running, but was turned to the on position and the rest of the lights worked fine. The Passenger side does not work either, but I believe I spliced it wrong. I did not have time to try to play with it, as I started w the drivers side yesterday

I just got them too... Haven't installed um but I am gonna follow this thread in case I bump into this problem and I'll keep you posted if I figure it out.

not sure if the DDE's are grounded inside the headlight with the high beam ground or not....if they are not grounded then you need to do so

They wont turn on without the car on. I noticed that with the city lights last week and assuming you have them wired to the city lights, it'll be the same...

Sorry for not updating sooner, I was working all yesterday and last night.

I tried it with the car running as well .. still no dice. They were put together by DDM, so I assume they were put together properly.

Any other ideas?

Call DDM, they'll definately help you out. My buddy got a set and they simply just didn't work so he was sent a new set.

Yeah ive spoken with them on the phone and on the board, and they were not very helpful with the technical problems in either place. They told me to keep trying things I recommended...
