I've checked....checked and rechecked all the hoses and intake connections. I'm coming up with nothing. It'll start fine and idle fine but when I start to drive it even if just a few minutes the idle starts climbing from 1000rpm to about 1800rpm when I come to a stop sign or light. Thing is that it's not really consistent either. Sometimes it runs just fine at idle. The rebuilt engine only has about 1,000 miles on it.
When I removed the emissions stuff I didn't just cut hoses and cap them off. I removed the nipple on the bottom of the throttle body, drilled it....tapped it and then put in a threaded pipe plug. This allows for deletion of the EGR filter located under the 4 intake tubes(Remember my baby has the 2.0.), the thermal reactor, the EGR Valve, the Blow-off valve, themo-valve and pressure converter.
Could the removal of all this stuff have affected the how the idle responds?
