What's the best way to remove baked-on brake dust....dust that hasn't been cleaned off in awhile and the heat from the wheels makes it harder to clean. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for any help. bobkat09 04-05-2008, 06:48 PM I have had good results with Simple Green degreaser spray. mryakan 04-05-2008, 08:18 PM well if you think brake dust is tough to clean, today I had to clean my wheels after 6 months of winter. They were covered with a thick layer of yellow oxidation and grime. Took me more than two hours to get clean, but all I needed was a whole bunch of Mr Clean Magic Erasers, some car shampoo mixed with warm water and lots of elbow grease. At the end I applied a layer of wheel wax. The result looks pretty good. Blue330i2006 04-06-2008, 12:08 AM Mothers and a powerball is Great!
