I was traveling on the freeway going at about 75 mph, when the vehicle stumblem twice for about 1 second each time, but i kept driving. Once i got to where the traffic slows down and stopped, the vehicle turned off. What could this issue be?:help

1. you need more info (did everything turn off)
2. your in the wrong forum
3. it could be the battery

Check the timing belt. There is a small access near the alternator. It should be tight. If not you have problems. Could be other things as well.

You probably just passed an E21 and your E30 just couldn't live with the shame anymore. If I were you I'd put a suicide watch on your poor eta, it might try something drastic!

Actually sounds like the alternator, esp if you lost electrical power and not just the engine stopping. At this point you've probably run your battery pretty far down too. Might want to have both checked, although we def need more info to fully figure this out...and it really might be best to post it in the e30 section (you have an e30 3 Series, this section is for the older e21 3 Series). ....but you already knew that now, didn't you? :stickoutt
