Hi,

2008 335xi here.

When it's nice outside, and I apply the brakes, car brakes normally.

When it's pouring rain out, and I apply the brakes, car abruptly jumps to the left.

Anyone else experience this?

Could it be that my 'pulse the brakes when it's raining, to keep the rotors dry and ready' feature is only working on one side?

You definetly need to have the techs take a look at this. If this were an older car with high mileage then i would suggest that you have either a caliper not working, a collapsed brake line, or an ABS issue. You don't have an old car so you need to have someone look at your braking system. Hopefully they will drive it on a rainy day.

I'll prioritize getting it looked at quickly.

Are you sure you are not experiencing hydroplaning?

Is it continually happening throughout your entire drive when its raining or is it just during the first couple of times braking of the trip? I had the same thing happening to me except it wasnt so much the rain that caused it as much as it was just when it was cold/damp and it was the first couple times I applied the brakes and then it would be fine from then on. Ended up they replaced my rotors saying they were "rusted" Havent had an issue since.

something wrong with ABS, lack of LSD? So many possibilities.. drive slowly in the rain .

There was something in the manual about a mechanism for keeping the pads dry when it is raining. Something like drawing them closer to the rotors when the rain-sensing wipers are activated.

Maybe that is only working on one side?

:) That's what I was thinking too, if you note the last sentence of my original post. Haven't brought it in yet, but plan to.
