So I call my advisor and make an appointment last week for a headlamp that was out and my iDrive knob that was cracked on the inside and barely working and a few other things under warranty. I drop the car off this morning and I'm told that the shuttle to take me to work (because mind you, they refuse a loaner or rental every single time I'm there) would leave at 8:30. At 8:50, God himself comes up to me and the other gentleman waiting and tells us we're ready to go.
Sweet little old guy drops off the other guy first and then we're off to Dallas, doing about 45 then 60, then 45, then 60 in the left lane of I-30, weaving into the middle lane occasionally as he tells stories about Noah and the first Thanksgiving and World War II. I get to work shortly before 10. Good.
I call the dealership at 1:30 and leave a message for my advisor to remind him that I will need the shuttle to pick me up in the afternoon (it leaves on it's last run at 3 and I told him that morning I'd need a ride again that afternoon) and to just let me know how things are going with my car. At 2:45 I'm getting nervous about the shuttle so I call again. I'm told that the iDrive knob isn't stocked and they ordered one today, and I'm asked if it's OK if they keep my car till Friday to put that in. I say no, I told you it needed one last week, you should have ordered it so I'll just be inconvenienced and bring it back in for that when the part gets here. I then ask if I'm good to go on the shuttle. Advisor starts to stutter and tells me he'll call me right back.
3:15 rolls around, I'm figuring something is up so I call him back, no answer (shocker! I always have to call around and have someone else track the guy down). I call the cashier, who handles the shuttle schedule, and she tells me the shuttle is full and already left but that she thinks my advisor is trying to work something else out and he'll call me. I tell her I'll just hold. Few minutes pass and the advisor gets on the line and tells me the same thing; and where you might think he'd apologize here, he instead very proudly tells me I can get myself a cab and take that from Dallas to the dealership and they'll just pay for it when I get there.
Honestly? HONESTLY???
