I am just wondering what people would pay for a 1998 black 540i with 6 speed and sports package.

the body has 190,000 and a clear history
the motor is rebuilt and has 5,000 miles.

Upgrades include
Dinan ecu, exhaust, intake, mass air flow sensor.
It also has m5 wheels and rear spoiler. the exterior is in great condition and doesnt have any noticable flaws. The interior is gray and looks amazing.
Also has a euro lighting package

i dont own it but im looking into getting it. just wanted to know what it would be worth with a rebuilt motor because the body and int. are in such good shape

I have looked at this car. Very nice for the price.

Just wondering, did they tell you the motor was rebuilt? They didn't say anything about it when I was there.

The interior was rather clean for the miles. The only flaw was the paint on the edges of some of the buttons were wearing off, and the amber lights on the dash were there but not all the same brightness. It also looked as though it had been repainted during its life maybe recently.

no they didnt. I was just wondering if I was going to be able to get my money back if I picked it up and rebuilt the motor. o well dont matter anymore, it sold already.

yeah I have an 89 fc. idk if you have heard of tuxedo park racing but they did my motor set up and did a hell of a job. what kind of 7 do you have

I have a 93 Base FD. I had my car tuned by Steve Kan at Tuxedo park 2 years ago. Nice place, not the greatest neighborhood though.:rolleyes

i've looked around and ones with 170k original miles with original motor go for about 9k but since this has a bit of work and it clean i'd say about $10k is a fair estimate for this car

This car sold for less than 6K.

hahah not even. I talked to alot of people one this one. they sold this car for proubly under 4k. they only had $2300 into it. i was so close to picking it up but got beat to it.
