The hazard light button hasn't worked since I bought the car, and now it's annoying me. I checked the fuses under the hood, and everything is in proper order but I have not checked under the back seat. Is there anything back there that would effect the hazard lights? Also, would the phone cables being cut have anything to do with the button not working, since they are in the immediate vicinity of each other on the console?

see page 17 hazard flasher relay

and of course there are also fuses and relais under the rear seat, see the link.
It could be the flasher relay, or what I assume the crash alarm relay

Also pull out the switch and see if the plug is connected. Maybe even some coffee was spilled into it?

So do I need to pull both of these things apart, or can I just replace both of them and call it a day?

Depends on you and your electronic repair skills, replacing is easier, but costs more. And it is not granted that it will 100% solve the problem ...
So trial and error.
If I were you, I would first disassemble these parts and check/test and measure them. But that depends, needs some basic electronic knowledge

Ok, I put the flash relay, and crash alarm geber back in the fuse box, and the hazzards came on. I turned them off and on a few times, and they seem to be working. I'll see how how long this last. Thanks for the help Shogun, and CaptHerb.
