Addiction is a powerful thing! I sold it in October 2004 with 80,000 miles on it. I just repurchased it about 6 months ago with 90,500 miles on it, so 10,500 miles in 3 years...it was a garage queen. I bought it back on impulse because i loved it so much, but i really can't justify having the amount of money sunk in to cars as i do now. It has been thuroughly maintained as detailed in old post, updated as applicable. Currently has 92,xxx. I was starting to get it ready for the track, so there are some nice upgrades, but has not been run at the track since DEs back in 2004. I am looking to get $13,500, let me know if there is interest.
OLDTHREAD: This is an Estoril Blue over Black (full Napa leather) 4 dr.79,000 miles Has luxury package, interior is very clean with only minute wear in localized areas, and is detailed monthly with lexol etc. Exterior paint is very well cared for and Zymol on monthly basis, except in the winter where it rarely sees action. I am the second owner, bought in September 2000. Right rear door was replaced after backed into in a parking lot. Thats it.
NEW: Car is still in great condition considering age, much better shape than 90% of '97 I have seen, paint is shiny and leather shows only minimal wear on bolsters.
Maintenence:
-Mobil 1 5w-30 every 2,000 miles, sometimes less, NEVER more.
- Mobil 1 in Diff and trans annually.
- Warranty replaced Trans. for reverse gear problem at 58,000 miles.
- Also replaced clutch/pressure plate/disc/bearing/flywheel while in there.
- New RTAB at 55,000, Front control arm bushings at 55,000.
- Aluminum front control arms at 60,000 miles.
- New radiator at 50,000 and thermostat
- Alternator replaced at 77,000 miles, so were all belts.($ 700 )
- New plugs at 77,000.
- New coils at 72,000. ($500)
- New front hubs at 79,000
- New Tie Rods at 91,000
- The front pads are nearly new.
That covers maintenance.
Upgrades:
-BBS RK 17x8 wheels (flawless).
-New Avon Tires (less than 6,000 miles)
-DINAN Software
-M50 Manifold
-Bilstein Sport Shocks installed at 85,000 miles
-H&R Sport Springs
-Turner Sway Bars with adj. endlinks (currently only front bar is installed, stock rear is in now)
-Alpine CD head unit
-UUC tranny mounts (they are the red ones so they let a bit of noise in..can provide sotck ones)
-Powerflex RTABs.
-95 M3 Front Control arm busings
-UUC SSK EVO 3
-Borla Muffler from new from TMS @ 85,000 miles
-DINAN CAI
-SS brake lines
-Schroth Ralley 4 Harnesses ( I just put these in last week with the intention of going to Road America later this month, but money-wise thats not going to happen)
-Samco silicone radiator hoses included.
Great car, ready to be DD or hit the track.
