Lol. Sorry, but I have trouble finding the LSD I want, and I would like to buy one from a proven member. I need a LOW LSD, I have a open 3.91 right now and it kills me. I need a 2.7 - 3.4 LSD... I guess I am hoping for something along the lines of a 2.93 or 3.15 but I will take anything in that range. Must be in known working condition because my current one is mint, but cruising at 4k+ is killing me.
I am willing to ship my 3.91 in partial exchange, trade other parts, or do straight cash. I just need an LSD that will fit my 95 525i and unfortunately most of the wildly popular and easy to find ones are all e36 style.

Out of a 750iL, I don't know off the top of my head if this is a direct swap... I don't think it is as 540 owners commonly do this due to casing differences (medium vs. large).

I believe that is a large case, e36 are small case, and 525 = medium case. Not sure but I guess thats why they do not fit.

Are there any junkyards in your area? Since you're up north, it may be more likely that a pre-95 with the 3.23LSD can be found. Mine came out of an e32, I wonder if an e23 would work as well? There were a few 2.93 diffs out of 745i-s on ebay a while ago.

I am in western PA for the next month... finding a bmw out here has been impossible. I get parts from local JY all the time but they never have anything for my car.

If you want to buy an open diff in the right ratio I've got an LSD you can swap into it. All you have to do is change the ring gear.

If I did that' I'd just buy an OBX LSD off of ebay. I have had good luck with them in other cars with my own installs. I'd like a reliable stock unit. I remember you have a shop in CT, I have a friend there. If I can't get a nice LSD before I leave school for the summer maybe we can work something out so I can install it at your place :) ?

Definitely do not go below a 3.15 or 3.23 in an E34 unless you like feeling like a ball rolling down a hill ;)
