so I decided to get my car on a dyno before i do a bunch of work to the car, just so i can see the gains. I went down to this place called Race Precision Inc, which has a Dyno Dynamics dyno. Here is their website, http://www.raceprecision.com/index.htm. This place is great for socal people who want to achieve legitimate dyno numbers.

I knew it wasnt going to give me huge inflated dyno-jet type numbers, but Im really not concerned with that cause Im only doing this for visible improvement, not to impress anyone! That said, the numbers surprised even the employees (theyre used to m5's and noble's) considering the car.

Year: 1997
Build Date: 9/1996
Mods: UUC exhaust, dinan intake, shark injector
Dyno Type: Dyno Dynamics (load based)
Dyno Conditions: sunny day
Gear Dynoed: 4th

Here are my charts:

looks sad, but its still probly 250-260 at the crank.

Thanks for coming by yesterday Kasey. I'm impressed with the numbers you put down, considering 333bhp S54 powered cars (e46 m3 & mz4s) only put down 240-250 on our dyno. Nice work, hopefully the future mods you have planned will make some serious whp increases.

FWIW - UNShark your car and try again, betcha you'll get 208 at the wheels.

You'll find a TON of people LOSE power with the Shark injector...

In fact, I'll volunteer myself - loss of power in my 1996 M3.

Funny thing is Kasey (Rated///M) is gunna be doing that in the next couple days since his car is running piss rich right now. Hopefully the Shark Edit will be available when he does his all out NA build so we can give that car a good tune.
