I wanted to try Simple Green on Floor Mats so i did it on my drivers side floor mat. I like the idea of using APC for many things and Simple Green can do all of them and it is rather convenient. My finding say that Simple Green can compare well with other APC/carpet cleaners.

They are not perfect but i would have done them twice if it were a customers car. I would have done them twice if i was using a different product as well. http://autopia.org/forum/images/smilies/chuckle.gif

Why would i take a hose to it when this makes them 'like new' and doesnt waste water and time :)

I've done that also but fully flushed them out out with the hose to insure there wasn't any SG left in the fabricstrands or backing material. I've heard it's harsh stuff and didn't want to run into any long term issues or premature degradation. Works great though as you've shown - those look brand new again.

yes ive tried pretty much everything.. A lot of things work but im just trying others. Woolite works well and i use that everytime on leather
Simple Green is non acid cleaner, it doesnt effect dye or anything, diluted 10:1 its not harsh, but 4:1 is
Hey Mr Norwall
Here I am again asking for free advice!
Was that a 1 to 1 SG to water, and how did you apply it?
BTW I lived in Tyler, Whitehouse ISD from 1989 to 1999.
Thanks
Sam

1:1 might burn holes through the carpet lol jk, it is 10:1, i use 4:1 on wheels, engine, wells, etc
i just sprayed it on and got a carpet brush, this was a tile scrubbing brush from lowes, and scrubed for a bout 30 seconds. then you get paper towels and rub the carpet, look at the paper towels, they are full of dirt, keep using new paper towels until it is dry and no dirt is coming out (in texas, the dry part take about 3 min) and then vacuum

Switch to black. Light gray doesn't seem to hold up well for you. Buy black.
