Hi, anybody knows what to use to get rid off the white residue left by wax on door mouldings, I tried everything to take that stuff out to no avail :(, is there any professional product to use? thanx, Rob NJ.

you must have left the wax residue on for a long time.. what was left on my trim could come off with just a finger rub.. and that was after letting it stay on the trim for like 2 weeks

Try peanut butter, but don't use crunchy. Get some crackers and have yourself a tasty snack while you do it as well.

You've probably already tried a few of these but here is a list again, in no particular order:
IPA, WD-40, Goo-be-gone or it's variants, Prepsol, Finish Klean, 3M adhesive remover, acetone (nail polish remover) and even a Pink Pearl pencil eraser, and I've missed a few for sure.

John nailed just about everything I can come up with and then some. GR-40 is my favorite but I ran out a little while ago and until I get some more I've been using alcohol/water wipe downs. I tried peanut butter a while back and while it does work, once I found GR-40 I abandoned it's use.

I like to remove wax or anything else that may be discoloring the trim before dressing it out. That way I know it's pretty much gone and the dressing is on the trim and not laying on top of any old residual stuff.
