ToppedOut525i 03-29-2008, 01:39 PM you must have left the wax residue on for a long time.. what was left on my trim could come off with just a finger rub.. and that was after letting it stay on the trim for like 2 weeks Paintballistic 03-29-2008, 02:14 PM im assuming you have black molding on your car. you might want to buy some of this stuff. http://www.foreverblack.com/products.htm#bumper but peanut butter is know to work but messy, and you can probly pick something up at any autoparts store. goo gone? hmsM3 03-29-2008, 02:58 PM respray all your moulding with duplicolor truck bed liner and you'll never have to worry about ur moulding ever again Sven 03-29-2008, 03:44 PM Try peanut butter, but don't use crunchy. Get some crackers and have yourself a tasty snack while you do it as well. JohnZ3MC 03-29-2008, 04:09 PM You've probably already tried a few of these but here is a list again, in no particular order: IPA, WD-40, Goo-be-gone or it's variants, Prepsol, Finish Klean, 3M adhesive remover, acetone (nail polish remover) and even a Pink Pearl pencil eraser, and I've missed a few for sure. -John C. PuckMan 03-30-2008, 08:52 AM John nailed just about everything I can come up with and then some. GR-40 is my favorite but I ran out a little while ago and until I get some more I've been using alcohol/water wipe downs. I tried peanut butter a while back and while it does work, once I found GR-40 I abandoned it's use. I like to remove wax or anything else that may be discoloring the trim before dressing it out. That way I know it's pretty much gone and the dressing is on the trim and not laying on top of any old residual stuff. supra94tt 03-30-2008, 10:31 AM thanx for all the help guys :), I'll see what they got at local auto stores, yea I tried wd-40 but the white stuff came back after a day, what's gr-40? PuckMan 03-30-2008, 01:45 PM GR-40 is: http://store.pakshak.com/gr-40-trim-cleaner-8oz.html Ianbiz 03-30-2008, 03:59 PM Forever Black. M0nK3y 03-30-2008, 05:16 PM Forever Black.
