i have searched and am aware of the typical noisey valves upon startup,but mine makes alittle more of a clunking noise. it only lasts for 4 or 5 seconds. then it is gone! in searching i also see that oil pump bolts back out and cause a loud noise until proper lubrication occurs. what do you guys think. anyone else seen or heard of this? a tech at bmw did not here it because it was warm but he concludes that it is normal....i think he is nuts. help!

Mine makes some noise as well that I have concluded to being noisy valvetrain. I don't know what the problem is specifically but it's random and aggravating.

the m5 forum has a thread about oil pump bolts...just curious if anyone has had the problem. m5 forum says that it is will all bmw v8s,not just the m5.
