I've been doing my research on some vehicles, because I plan on adding another vehicle to my driveway. I have my mind pretty much set on the 650i hardtop, my only issue is backseat space. I have a one year old who has a car seat, and he won't be in the car everyday(always with mom). I remember test driving this bad boy and it is off the chain. I should have asked the salesman, and I don't really have time to make another trip across town. My question is do you think my son would be comfortable in his car seat, I mean he is an average sized 1 year old. Would I be able to move up the front seat any, since no one is sitting there?

If the internal dimensions of the 650i are at all similar to those of the M6 (and I believe they are), you should be fine. I recently had a full-grown (albeit diminutive) young woman in the backseat of mine. I just had the front seat moved forward- didn't make the fully-grown male in the front seat uncomfrotable at all.

You will be fine. I used a car seat just fine for my child.

My buddy just got a 645 convertible with memory seats-he's an XL and needs the driver's seat back in order to be comfortable. The first time he put his infant son in the back seat after bringing the car home he watched in horror as the driver's seat electronically moved back, crushing his son's legs and finally coming to a stop when the sensor kicked in. Nothing broken, but let me tell you, there wasn't enough room for an errant fart between the front and back seats. The 6 series is no 4 seater-don't kid yourself-it's an oversized two seater.

Despite all this, he loves it..............

You should be fine man cuz just yesterday i had two of my friends in my moms '07 M6 (which will soon be mine ^^). One that sat in the front weighes like 230 and the one in the back weighed about 200. The only thing i had to do was move the seat forward a little so he doesnt crush his legs in the back but after the seat was moved forward it was all good. so your son should be fine.

what he forgot to mention is that the friend weighing 230 lbs was 4 feet tall and the 200-pounder was about 3'7"...

haha what do you have against small people:confused but for reals you can fit two full grown men in the car one in the front and one in the back thats what im getting at... it wont be the most comfortable ride in the world but they can fit.
