In my search for tires, I located a set of Toyo T1-S's that measure 245/45/16. My staggered open lug Alpina's are 7" front et11 & 8" rear et24. I knew the rear would fit fine, but did not know about the fronts until a test fit. Surprisingly they fit without spacers and look fine even though they are not the recommended size. I'll run them until I find the proper size. Just looking at these tires while mounted on 8 1/2" rims I had my doubts that I'd be able to use the fronts. Still getting the beast road ready for the SESF trip and needed good rubber.

I think profile has a lot to do with it. I tried putting my 225/55/16 Goodrich Gforce Sports on and they rubbed yet I put 235/45/17 michelin primacy with no problem both rims have same offset. The sidewall on the GForce seems to bulge quite abit more. 245s thats a wide stance Dave must look kinda cool any pics?

245 does sound like quite a bit of rubber for those wheels, but if the shoe fits haha
glad to see you found something thatll work for you, i remember you were contemplating tires when i was talking with you a month or so back. If you find those tires dont work out for you, and are looking for a good, great priced, comfy tire to get you to SESF and back and then a lot more...Khumo ASX high performance all season.
Thats what i put on Wolfie, 225/45/17 for $83 a tire, not bad, im sure the 16 will put it into the mid to high $70 range, which isnt bad for a 4 star rated tire...

I'll look into them before next winter. These Toyo's are defintely not winter tires.
