View Full Version : what's the best way to go on new bumper? lori328i 03-26-2008, 03:05 PM i have a 2000 BMW 328i and want a M3 bumper on it. what would be the best way to go about it? surfingtoys 03-26-2008, 03:09 PM buy one. i think a few people just bough from DDM tuning because i think they have the lowest price right now. i bought mine from http://khoalty.com/bmw_e46_exterior.html albobimmer 03-26-2008, 03:09 PM to the best of my knowledge an OEM m3 bumper can fit but will take a lot of work to get it to fit right like the fenders and evrything. your best bet is to do like other people and get an aftermarket m3 replica bumper made for our cars. according to smilez theres like three versions around the csl v1, v2 and something else i forget or you can get the m-tech II bumper. hope it helped Smilez@EuroDyne 03-26-2008, 03:13 PM ddmtuning.com 176+ Smilez@EuroDyne 03-26-2008, 03:14 PM and the regular m3 replica :) albobimmer 03-26-2008, 03:25 PM ^^^ yee that one.......duhh how could i forget the actual replica loll Smilez@EuroDyne 03-26-2008, 03:26 PM ^^^ yee that one.......duhh how could i forget the actual replica loll easy you are albino and you live in the east coast :devillook lori328i 03-26-2008, 03:31 PM so what did you get a replica or what. what is hard to install? albobimmer 03-26-2008, 03:34 PM :lol:lol:lol hahaaa damn bro im actually crackin up and my co-worker is like wtf is wrong with you loll. i see the name caught on :stickoutt. its all ctg1488 or should i say popcorns fault :D albobimmer 03-26-2008, 03:35 PM easy you are albino and you live in the east coast :devillook And thats rite i do live in the east coast and since you live in the west coast you cant steal my gas lolll:alright Smilez@EuroDyne 03-26-2008, 03:38 PM so what did you get a replica or what. what is hard to install? since you have a preface it should just slide in. You still have to retro fit it a bit. The reinforcement bar is hold by two long bolts. These bolts are accessible from the middle of the bumper. On the replica there is no holes to access these bolts. Smilez@EuroDyne 03-26-2008, 03:39 PM And thats rite i do live in the east coast and since you live in the west coast you cant steal my gas lolll:alright yeah thats what ctg1488 aka tony montana said until one night hes like wtf :shifty albobimmer 03-26-2008, 03:43 PM yeah thats what ctg1488 aka tony montana said until one night hes like wtf :shifty HAHAA i heard about that loll. so guess im not safe either but its ok if you need gas ill give ya money just dont hurt the bimmer :D lori328i 03-26-2008, 03:50 PM so what else do you think i can do to fix it like i mean under the hood... albobimmer 03-26-2008, 03:52 PM cold air intake, headers will release some hp but not too much it'll mostly be for that nice aggresive sound. im getting a k&n cold air intake today lori328i 03-26-2008, 03:56 PM where you getting yours from? i dont want the cheap stuff i want it be be worth it. Smilez@EuroDyne 03-26-2008, 03:56 PM i made a thread on how to remove the bumper FYI :http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=954644 albobimmer 03-26-2008, 03:59 PM where you getting yours from? i dont want the cheap stuff i want it be be worth it. you could go all out and get the dinan one but in my opinion and most the price isnt really that worth it as power hp gains is minimal and its mostly for the nice sound. most people that i know like the afe or the k&n. im gettin my k&n ordered from autozone for around 250. and trust me k&n cai is not ricey or cheap, a lot of people have it and like it. hope it helped:) lori328i 03-26-2008, 04:03 PM yeah thanks for all the info. i'll be putting pics of my car up soon.
