Anyone know a good mechanic in the Columbus, OH area? I bought my 95 used this fall and need to have some work done on it. (speedometer issues, Fault Code 1234) An independent mechanic is preferred, but honesty is the #1 priority.
I also need to have a 4-wheel alignment done. If anyone knows a good shop for that.

ET Paul on Parsons is the best place in town to do an alignment. Most of the local autocrossers go there.
The best mechanic is Walt B. over at Kelly BMW. He's the only person that I would let work on my M3 when I had it. I ued to drive to Cinnci when Walt worked at the BMW Store down there. Tom Hatem can do good work, but make sure you have a price in writing before you start work. His shop does tend to be a bit inconsistant. The other person I would think about is Shawn Passen at Passen Motorsports in Westerville. Shawn is a very good wrench and has run several very successful BMW racing projects over the last few years.

The speedo issue could be a bad pick up on the diff, that's the first thing I'd look at. Let me know what other issues you're having, I can do just about any work other than alignments. I've actually wrenched on both BML's and Purple's M3s ;)

I appreciate the help, I am setting up some time with ET Paul's for an alignment, and am going to email bimmer95. I am looking forward to getting involved with the local M3 community.

From my experience, Bimmer95 seems to be the best in Columbus.
