I travel quite a bit for work. Southern California tops a lot of the places I usually end up having to go. The general theme here among my co-workers and I is that Ohio is without a doubt the worst place you can be sent. None of us have had good experiences there.

Do you have a website or address for said go-kart place?

Yeah, Hemet doesn't have crap to do. Since you'll be here 'til Friday you could go to the Corona Bimmer meet on Thursday night...

No doubt. Usually the highest-end car you see around here is the occasional SRT-4 like the tool bouncing off his rev limiter when he left the In-n-Out this evening... I don't have a problem with those cars, but the way this jackass was revving in the parking lot made me just want to shout "It's still just a Neon!" at him. :nono

How far is Corona from Hemet? I could crash the meet in my sh*tbox Sebring mental rental. The top takes ten years to go up or down.

You are all right about Hemet. Nice and clean but not much to do. I did spy an In N' Out that I plan to hit up tomorrow. If it doesn't live up to the hype I will be pissed.

So far it looks as though Florida Ave is the main drag. No Outback or Barnes & Noble around? I need something to read on the sucky plane ride home.

My Hemet to Corona drive took about 50 minutes. I know what you mean about the Sebring, I had one as a rental last year in Hawaii. It's a complete pile of sh1t that I'm still amazed was ever sold to anybody other than a rental agency. The Corona meet is like 2 exits away from a Barne's & Noble. If you don't go to Corona your next best bet for finding dining and/or Barnes & Noble is to head south to Temecula...

Yeah, Hemet really sucks for dining and most shopping. The best dining in town for chains would be Mimi's, Chili's, or Applebees which are all close to In-N-Out on Florida. For good southwestern food I'd recommend Los Vaqueros which is also on Florida, but at the more western edge of town just past the Home Depot and in the same parking lot as the Marie Callendar's. My favorite Mexican place is Emilio's on San Jacinto about a mile north of Florida.

The problem with Acapulco's is that it's obvious they use pre-made frozen food. When we were there last time the first 3 things my wife tried to order she was told they were out of. What she finally got was made out of the same ingredients the others would have been made out of, just prepared differently... :shifty

I went to In N Out. It lived up to the hype. So cheap too.

What is up with the brown numbered stickers I see on the backs of some of the cars here?

The new shopping center off Cajalico on the 15 in Corona has some great places to eat, anything you like, movies, shopping whatever. The exit next to that is the Promonade at Dos Lagos. There are really good places to eat there. The Citrus Grill has an amazing wine selection and great food. They also usually have some cool cars parked out there you can look at from the local Porche, BMW, MBZ dealerships. The racing place is about 1/2 mile from my house. I have not been there but my friends at work have, they say its cool. Pole Position Raceway (http://www.racep2r.com/)
