With Summer coming around the corner I have been in talks with Ireland Engineering and they are willing to give us a discount if we have all the radiators shipped to one place. I already have some interest and the radiators will be shipped to Cupertino 95014 (near San Jose). The Aluminum Radiators are 45mm thick as opposed to the stock 33mm. They are a direct fit. The price new on them is $355+Shipping but with enough people we can get around 15% off or more depending on the amount of people. Who needs a new performance radiator :evil2

Interested..However some questions...so with this Alum radiator, I never have to worry about broken plastic necks or anything related to cooling again (well I know waterpump)? Also, what's the price of a regular plastic radiator compared to this?

THanks!

Yes, you won't have to worry about busting the flimsy neck anymore nor will you have to worry about it eroding away on you slowly. Since it is larger it also cools down the fluid much better and keeps your temps cooler. Stock M3 radiators go for around $190+Shipping so this is a great investment :D

Guys need to hurry and get in on this cause I will be closing it soon.

dude, seriously there are many ip racers, even in texas that run the stock m3 radiator. This one is over kill, and still has issues. If you change the stock one every 60k miles like you should, you will never have a problem. And I don't know any place that charges $190+shipping for a radiator other than the dealer, I got an OEM Behr one for $109 overnight shipped to me.

I hardly see this as a great investment

If you have a problem with it then don't get it, there was absolutely no need for your comments in this thread. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Congrats on your purchase but I'm not sure if you have ever heard of this place called bimmerworld.com but thats how much they sell it for :rolleyes

And whats wrong with having a radiator that will not fail...? And you realize IP is just one class in club racing right? There are many more club racers in different classes then just IP racers. And a lot of IP race cars I've seen have bigger aluminum radiators then one in this group buy.

Plus I don't see how reliability is a bad investment for a track car...

actually there is, i was about to buy an aluminum radiator about 15k miles ago, when i was informed that they aren't any better than the stock one, unless maybe you're boosted. I feel like i should do the same for other potential buyer, since that's what the forum is all about:thumbup:

I guess i could see how a ptg wing and aluminum radiator go hand in hand for activities like autocross;)

Where have you seen Fluidyne radiators for $400? I was planning on selling mine since it's just sitting around, but haven't decided on a price. I figured that I would find the lowest legit price and knock some off of that.

So by your logic, then your roll bar, racing seats, and ltw wing is also pointless. I've seen instructors with near stock m3's that will lap you on track. So maybe those mods aren't much better then stock... unless you track a lot... So why do you have them? Because they are quite handy on the streets right?

Maybe you should spend more time at olive garden to buy that gt3 and less on bf.c looking like a tool.

WTF is going on here, just read through this entire thread.

My M3 was always getting too hot just running at capcom, hence why my expansion tank blew to pieces one time.

If the aftermarket radi didn't cool better than stock then they wouldn't make it, or they would redesign it.

First of all how I justify spending my money is my business. Second of all seeing how you are the one that wanted to run R-Comps on the street like an idiot and drive around without a license plate just so you could go faster pretty much shows how much you know. Like I said before, just stay out of the thread already.
