zubbie 03-23-2008, 05:22 PM So what was the final cost to your door, purchase price, shipping, import duties etc? Is the J-spec import game a good deal? Mine also is a J-spec but I was not the importer.
Also is it a 3.6 or 3.8?
r1101r 03-23-2008, 05:26 PM congrats
e24mpwr 03-23-2008, 05:46 PM we can. through canada.
You can, but federalization is a little pricey. You might have seen my friend Anita's B10 BiTurbo, which came from Japan. It isn't as expensive as it used to be, but you still have to meet EPA and DOT specs, and it adds up...
Canada makes it far easier...
brsteel 03-23-2008, 05:56 PM It is a 3.6, 5 speed car, M cars unfortunately are really climbing in price, this one is going to cost me about $24,000. the car at auction after buyers fees 18G, 1,500 for shipping, GST,PST, Duty and Brokerage is about 20%. Then you have to install high mount brake light, daytime running lights and other repairs necessary for Motor Vehicle Inspection. The up side is the car looks like brand new, even smells new, very low km's the car looks like it has always been garaged and has seen little to no rain. A lot of $$$ but a rare car with under 60,000 km's. almost all the US and European cars have tons of km's. can start importing 540's this year, unfortunately almost all of them out of Japan are autos. Also own a 1989 Euro Spec M5 with 128,000 km's, same color scheme as the 92, also imported from Japan, I am going to be selling, asking 14 OBO if anyone is interested. Attached pic sorry wrong date
