Turns out for how much my car is to fix, it's about 40% of how much the car is worth itself. So the 7 is gone :( Now to find a new car. Phiberglass 04-02-2008, 06:12 PM About a week ago, the part where the coolant host connects two snapped off, so I got a new radiator. Then driving to cars and coffee It started overheating again. New thermostat. Then when I was driving to class it overheated again and turns out a head gasket was blown, and it's going to cost $3500 and possibly $5000 if it warped some other things. Which comes out to almost half my car is worth so I'm not going to spend the money. My mechanic said he'd buy it from me and work on it as his project, so I may do that, since I'm not sure how many people would want it knowing they have to pay labor for that. So I have to decide what to do with it. I've had too many problems with older bmw's so e36 is probably out of the picture.
