View Full Version : SSR GT3....color match or....
JackEatsEmoKids 03-23-2008, 01:31 PM Ive got the chance to purchase some 19x8.5 and 19x10 SSR GT3s from a guy near by for a great price that need some love.
Should I color match the centers in Topaz blue with the polished lips and bolts.
Or what other suggestions for a color on my Topaz blue 5. I will aso be doing The DDM M-Tech kit after the wheels and I have Porsche brake calipers in the works or even some E60 M5 rotors/calipers.
xxpanipuri 03-23-2008, 01:38 PM mmmmmmmmmm ssr gt3's are teh sex...
i think a polished finish may look good or even a gunmetal type finish....
Paintballistic 03-23-2008, 01:41 PM nice choice in wheels. these ones look sick. http://i.pbase.com/o4/71/504671/1/62869361.MF53TWMU.AAA1.jpg
Paint to match. Personally I don't like the look, but not many people do it and if it comes out perfect with the Topaz it could look terrific.

supark 03-23-2008, 03:59 PM polished or gun metal - I wouldn't do color match being that it's gonna be harder to sell them when the times comes if they are

I was looking into Antracite Metallic from the E39 528i's. My uncles wagon is that color and I like it. It might look good on the Topaz. All polished will take me alot of time too! =/
gumbi4u 03-23-2008, 04:03 PM I always wanted these wheels but I could never find them so I gave up. Now that I look at them, my taste has gone another route and really dont feel them anymore. If you can get them and you like them, then go for it. They are rare as you know!

All the wheels I truley want, are not made in a 5x120 or cost as much as a supercharger would.
DaJackel 03-23-2008, 04:12 PM Meh, color matched centers are fairly ricey if you ask me. You should do a light gunmetal with a polished lip, or leave them stock color.

The wheels need a lot of love according to the owner. A light gun metal sounds good, I'd perfer a BMW OEM color which I can get painted at work for fairly nothing some newer cars have a nice gun metal looking color. I'll do a search now.
racerx0911 03-23-2008, 04:17 PM yeah i dont think about the color matched center...
SHWELL 03-23-2008, 05:50 PM Color matched is fine, but it is getting over done these days.... Make the lip Topaz Blue, that would be diff and hawt...I just cannot think of a color for the face that would work......
Either way you go, you cannot go wrong.... Make it happin cappin.
gumbi4u 03-23-2008, 07:21 PM gunmetal would be fine. Anything else might not work.
JackEatsEmoKids 03-23-2008, 08:39 PM Don't know anymore about getting them. Tires are way too much, espically when I have 18's laying around and someone selling 19" Beyern Meshs new in a box for less than that....
98M3_4 03-23-2008, 08:43 PM +1 on no color match. stick with gunmetal or silver
BlackSapphire 03-23-2008, 08:46 PM Gold centers.
JackEatsEmoKids 03-23-2008, 08:57 PM Gold centers.
Asshole. Now you've got me thinkin!!!!!!!!!
Gold on Topaz would be sick.

Yup. I think that's the best combo for Gold. :)
JackEatsEmoKids 03-23-2008, 09:13 PM Yup. I think that's the best combo for Gold. :)
I actually decied on Beyern Meshes, now if I could only find some fucked one, paint the spokes in gold and leave the machined lips.
