So when I am at a stop and in neutral, I often have a difficult time getting Traudl into first gear. If I blip the throttle, or the car rolls forward or back this solves the problem. Could this be a worn syncrozier? If so, what is the fix. Traudl has a short shift kit installed by the PO and she is only 46,000 miles old.

Thanks a bunch!

Are there any problems downshifting? I would highly recommend changing the fluid in your trans before jumping to any conclusions.

No issues with down shifting...The car is in mothballs right now and I plan to change all fluids once I decide to put the car back on the road.

Could also be a clutch disengagement issue too. The disc may not be floating on the input shaft splines or the flywheel may be slightly dished causing some clutch drag.
