This vehicle was a departure from my normal BMW reconditioning and I did this as a private detail for the dealer's customer.

80/k worth of swirls, scratches and I really missed not being able to use the shop lift, lighting, etc. I really appreciate the on-site detailers work!

Here is a representative of the finish I started with:

For process after wash and clay, I used System One Polish with the wool pad for compounding and followed that with the foam pad for polishing. I only had 1 day to complete this, so System One worked great.

Wool pad shot. This product finishes down quite nicely. Unlike others that leave pretty heavy swirl marks from wool, this does not.

On to polishing with the foam pad.

My final steps for trim dressing was the System One Licorice. Great product with a definite licorice smell...kinda nice if you like that scent when applying. The biggest benefit is: it is non-greasy and dry to the touch.

For waxing, I used Zaino Z2 Pro (which was in a set of samples given to me by the Zaino marketing rep....their warehouse is in Kansas City) and a wipe-down with Z6.

Finished:

Looks great, but I like the tires to have a little more shine then that, especially on black.
