Need advise. I have a 1997 BMW 328i that I'd like to sale, where would be the best place to advertise? Also, it has 134k miles on it, do you think $6,500 is a reasonable price? It is in great condition, nice leather interior, navy inside and out. Only problem I'm having is the airbag light stays on and I need to have the passenger window put back on it's track. It's fun to drive and gets 29 mpg but unfortunately, the insurance will not be affordable once I add my teenage son to the policy in April! I'm sure many of you can relate to that expense!

Any advise or suggestions would be great.

www.craigslist.org is a good place to advertise. I don't think you'd be out of line asking $6500 for your car. Are you sure insurance will really be that bad when you add your teenager to the insurance? Of course you will see a noticeable rate hike, but a 97 328i doesn't cost that much to insure to begin with. :dunno Do what you want, but I would shop for better insurance before getting rid of a good car.

Actually, my insurance in MD costs me $451 every six months for my BMW. I guess that isn't so bad if I only had the one vehicle but we have six ... a bit ridiculous I know for only two drivers and now three when my son gets his license next month.
