View Full Version : quick pic from tonight
clevertd 03-22-2008, 09:46 PM finally met a fellow E34-er tonight, 525fourthew1n. Gotta say, it made me want some t-stars and HIDs in a bad way and he's pretty cool too. I got to show off the 3.91LSD a little too:DI took a few pictures, but almost all of them came out bad because I suck at taking pictures. Here's the best one that came out as well as a progress picture on the Style 32s

Man that picture is money! Should upload some more from the angle closer to your car. By the way, it was great to witness the M30/3.91 power, that was fun.
Gooodd those wheels are amazing. Did your brother's arm become detached from the sanding?
e34bmw540i 03-23-2008, 12:18 AM How do you make the picture look so crisp? That looks so good nice job

Haha, it's still attached although quite useless at the moment from what he tells me. The rest of the pics came out pretty blurry/too much flash, let me know if you want them regardless and I'll send 'em. Here's a bit higher res and without the pavement from above: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2339/2353168457_436498a891_o.jpg

Set it on the dark setting on my Canon A510 and pray:stickoutt. I'd really like to take up photography, hopefully getting my car finished up will motivate me more.
daflameking 03-23-2008, 01:30 AM nice. have yet to meet someone from bf.c but hopefully soon. and those wheels look hot. cant wait till you put em on.
attack eagle 03-23-2008, 01:31 AM set it to manual, chose the lowest number Aperture (f) and then adjust the shutter speed and bracket the shot.
Honestly, that is really all there is to it.
AP mode works too.
clevertd 03-23-2008, 01:53 AM Awesome, just messed around with it some. The lowest aperture is F2.6, and it's got a max exposure of 15sec to a min of 1/1250th. Thanks for the tips. By shutter speed, is that ISO speed? It's got 50, 100, 200, and 400.
attack eagle 03-23-2008, 02:00 AM shoot iso 100
exposure is shutter speed.
f 2.6... that is great, mine goes down to 3.5 on the short lens t the shortest end of the thing, and lowest on full zoom is 5.6...
Lower aperture = shorter depth of field (foreground and back ground fuzzy, subject in focus) and less exposure needed.
erik024 03-23-2008, 02:17 AM Cars look gooooodddd. Nice pictures. Can't wait for those wheels to be on!
screwbiedoo15 03-23-2008, 04:28 AM Nice pic and the style 32s look great. So you actually got to show off the 3.91lsd and the miller maf huh? I bet that accelerates quite well

His car kicks ass! He did some pulls up and down the local boulevard and maaan it's a rocket. I'll keep his future engine plans under wraps, he can talk about that. :devillook
But yeah a couple of strong pulls, and it was clear why you guys love the torque of M30's. Chirped the tires from 1st to 2nd gear. :buttrock
