Can we nutsert our cage tubing? I'm doing the nascar door foam (holy friggin expensive!!!) and I need to put a plate of aluminum against the x brace. The piece fits sweeeeeet, but NASCAR said I have to plate it. Is it legal??

You probably don't want to nutsert a required cage tube. Why not weld on a small tab for the mount?

Agreed, I think I'd put a tab on it vs "holing" up a required tube.

Do NOT nutsert the cage.
Weld a tab, or weld a sheet metal plate to the X.
Also, document what you are doing, since yours will probably be the first IMPAXX foam run in club racing. I want to do it also, and there is a provision in the rules to run it, it's just that noone has done it yet.
PICS!!
