I finally received a 1988 Airdam/Spoiler for my 1986 635csi the other day.

It includes what appears to be most of the mount brackets.

When I got my car, it was missing the airdam/brackets.

I just need some pointers/pictures of just how this attaches to my car. It seems the front side bumper covers are rusted and there may be mount points on them? I'm not sure.

Hopefully this hotlink will show the pic...

88-89 have a diferent spoiler then an 86, they had the "world" front and back, I don't know if you can make an 88 work but I would be interested in where you got the 88 and how much it cost.

thats not from a 88, the foglight holes are different and it has pop out panels beside the lights, thats from a 85 thru 87, u should have 2 bolt holes on each side and a mount right in the center, if u can get those ones on it will stay up and then u should be able to see where the other 4 mounts hook up

I kinda thought it wasnt an 88 also.

The seller claimed it was, but I figured it was going to match my 86

Yea, it has a mount point at the center. I'll have to tinker around with it to see if I can get it to bolt up.

Does it have any mounting points to the side bumper covers. I think my covers are trashed/rusted and wont be an adequate mount point.

I won the thing about a month ago on ebay for about 180 shipped. It took awhile to get to me, but I finally got it.

It's in fairly good condition.. a few cracks starting up and a little bit warped, but I think it will work for me OK. Just needs some TLC.

Although this shows an 84 and earlier spoiler the basics are thier their are two flat pieces that are about 8 inches long that hold or adjust it two the bottom of the bumper and two others that hold it to your bumper guards but hopefully this will give you the idea.
