Hey Guys,
I recently had a little incident where someone scratched a good aount of my front fender. I bought some exact match paint in a spray and along with some spray clear coat off a website. I sanded and painted and the color matched perfectly. However, after I sprayed the clear the paint took on sort of a dull shine...not matching the nice shine of the rest of the car. What should I do to get this dull spot back to the original shine?

I heard that I should use a lot of rubbing compound then just polish it with an electrical buffer. Any tips?

your best bet is to wetsand the clearcoat with 1500-2000 paper, then hand polish the area with fine compund.
a machine and heavy compunding will burn the rattle can paint in an instant!

No need to wetsand, and paint cleaner will restore the shine, dont put sealant or wax on for about 30 days to let it cure
