I will never buy a Golf after driven 3 of them. My dad is a big fan of VW and I managed to get behind the wheel of Mk2 and Mk3. I crashed the MK3. They seems to understeer when you go around a bend, but all of a sudden out of nowhere the back end starts to kick out. So it's very difficult to know what to expect from them. Great car for general use.

It sounded like he was revving the piss out of that car. He must have been in 2nd gear at around 7k rpms. Not really ideal for entering a slalom. I auto-x'd a 91 gti 16v for years and it was a very predictable car. Lift off oversteer to get the rear to rotate and back on the power to pull out of corners. Yeah...go into a corner too hot and it could bite you in the arse. This guy was either drunk or trying to impress a lady friend with his mad skillz.
