Ok I feel kinda stupid for asking this. I can do pretty much anything on a car but here it goes. I have a 2001 330ci. I am purchasing either 19" or 20" wheels. I read a lot about what offset people should get. Ive have never really been told what exactly offset is. So can someone break down what offset is? And what offset should i get? Also while im here what tires should i get? I am getting a suspesion as well (adjustable). thanks for the info

Not a stupid question at all. The offset of a wheel is simply the relation of the mounting surface (the part that touches the hub on your car) of the wheel to the centerline of the wheel. Example, if the mounting surface is even with the wheel's centerline, then there is zero offset. If it is towards the inside of the centerline, that is negative offset. If it is towards the outside of the centerline, then that is positive offset.
Now that you're really confused, I suggest you go and google it.
