Hi everyone. It's been almost 35 years since I last replaced a clutch and that was in a Triumph TR4A. All I remember is that I had to disassemble pretty much the whole car and it was a whole weekend project. Any major issues with doing a clutch in an 84 633? One of our bmw factory reps drove mine with me a month or so back and told me I would be needing one soon. The clutch does seem to engage pretty close to the floor board, only two or three inches, which I kinda like, but Dan said it was a sign I would be needing a clutch soon. Car has right at 70K miles on it. Anything else that should be done at the same time as long as I am in that area?
As I always, I do appreciate everyones advice and support!

I would not replace it unless its slipping. You can adjust the pedal to some extent if you want to try that.

Thanks for your thoughts Layne. That's kinda what I was thinking. I can't feel any slipping going on...don't seem to hear any bearing noise when it's engaged...and I actually prefer the clutch to engage closer to the floor than not...
Any idea how much life/mileage is in one of these before it needs a clutch and what the cost of doing that might run?
