driving over to the woman's house on 495 and heard a pretty loud exhaust note coming from behind. glanced in my mirror and saw a blue colored M5 coming up in the fast lane doing a good speed, probably 85 or 90. this thing was quite loud, I heard it a good 1/4 mile away coming up on me.

passed me doing at a good pace, I attempted to catch up and give a wave, but my exit was coming up.

anybody know any blue M5's on the board? was it a member?

it was a really loud exhaust, body looked stock otherwise.

no, not a member, but a friend/past customer. The car now actually has the full DINAN S3 supercharger kit now (621hp)

^Hmmm, it could've been that car. It was muscle car loud.

The wheels appeared stock from what I could tell and I didn't see a Dinan badge anywhere :dunno

Any other pictures?

By the description in the linked thread, I think I've seen the same guy several days ago on Centreville Rd, Herndon. He was racing a 996, IIRC, from a red light. Pretty loud. Stock wheels, though.

Yes, I believe it was Avus Blue. Stock wheels.

Like this picture. And I believe it was a 2000 because it didn't have angel eyes, they were xenons. It was damn mean-looking, too, much more aggressive than the stockish look, although cosmetically it looked stock.

Ha, yea, that was me :D

I didn't even notice your car, I just wanted to get home :rofl I took the woman to D.C. that day(the entire day and I was exhausted), she hasn't been there before. I think I was going ~80/85 for most of the way. I never drive too fast with her in the car, or anybody for that matter.

Looks-wise, I am pretty much stock.

However, my car has an aftermarket smoked headlight assembly, smoked sidemarkers, and gunmetal grill. And it is dropped with Dinan's Stage I suspension (springs/shocks).

And yes, it's loud, especially on WOT- people say they can hear the car for a good mile away if I'm accelerating HARD through the gears. Even cruising, you can hear the car very easily from a good distance. I run about 117-120dbs on WOT, which, to me at least, is extremely loud for a street car.
