Generally I head for the ultra hi performance all seasons as they have a good tread wear rating, which I need because I commute 100 miles round trip for work. I am a very spirited driver and have always gone to Kumho because I have always had great luck with them. My last set of Kumho's were ASX's and I really liked them. The catch is, here in STL we do get snow...a few weeks ago we had anywhere from 14 inches to 9 inches fall within 25 miles from eachother. Since my M is my DD all year round, I need something that will get me to and from work safely through the winters but still provide superb wet and dry traction. Noise isnt really a factor and neither is comfort as I have poly bushings, stiffer sways and koni adjustables that are set pretty firm.
Any suggestions?
BTW tire size is 235 front and 245 rear

I replaced the hellish Bridgestone RFTs at 4k miles with Toyo Proxes 4 all-season UHP radials.
http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?tiremodel=Proxes+4&tirebrand=Toyo
So far with 6k miles on them I am very pleased with the price, ride quality (smooth and quiet), and traction in wet and dry conditions. I cannot speak for their performance in snowy conditions however. So far the tread wear looks good but I don't drive it particularly hard.
Dump the runflats and enjoy a new ride, like having a new car. :)

I dont have runflats...
Those tires look nice! I will read more about them and compare them to the ASX's

Is there another tire that anyone suggests? I cant seem to find the toyo's anywhere but 1010...tirerack doesnt carry them in the size that I need.

check for the Toyos locally. that is how i bought mine and the price was as good as going online.
if you don't go for the Toyos i would recommend Bridgestone Potenzas. very smooth and quiet ride. but more expensive than the Toyos. even though Bridgestone screwed me with terrible riding RFTs i still think their conventional radials are the best.

I did and they apparently dont make them in 235 40 17. Should I not be running a 235 40 17 up front and 245 40 17 in the rear? should they be 45/40 front/rear?

More than likely I will be going with the ASX'z as they are a great tire (IMO) and less expensive.
