my car has been running slower lately. the other day i was in seconded and went to do a pull and the car started sputtering and stopping and going...almost like fuel was cutting out. and sometimes when i do some hard pull the exhaust note changes?? it becomes more muscle sounding like more of a berbil** and when i turn the car of then back on the car sounds normal????

Sounds like a misfire or limp mode (especially if the sound is gone after restarting).

Tough to say, though, is the car throwing any codes? That would be the place to start.

there is a CEL but its been on for a while since my cars are out. maybe its a new code but i wouldn't know. i am going ot have my car looked at this week because i need to get it running well.

Get your codes read for your answer. There's really nothing that we can do besides guess.

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Maybe one of your hoses blew off and your losing boost. Does the car feel like its misfiring or going into limp mode (cylinders shut down)?

its only sometimes, if there was a leak wouldn't it loose boost all the time?
