I believe it's too wide.

Go for an alpine 7894...you'll thank me.

The reason I suggested 7894 was because of how well it color matches with the amber lighting. It does MP3's, virtually impossible to skip and has 3 outputs for subs should he want to go that route.

Its' definitely one of alpines better decks.

If I were to go a sub route it wouldnt be nothing big maybe like a 8 or a 10 to give a lil bump but nothing expensive.

Reason why i was asking about this is because its like everyone else says. OEM is the way to go. I dont want rreally want something that says steal me. Stock CD player is fine with me.

Just curious whats your opinion about systems? anything audio upgraded in your car? You brought up the subs so just curious?

I probably wont go subs just because you could replace the stock speakers with some quality ones and that amount of bass is good enough for me.

Detachable face aftermarket stereos have been common and cheaply available for over 10 years--simple basic and very effective security.

Plus, the thing to steal now are the double-DIN navigation systems which can easily sell for more $$$ than $100-200 single DIN cd/mp3 players.

I've thought about it, I'd probably do a basslink or stealthboxes if anything. The HK system sounds pretty damn good for the most part.

I use two Alpine Type-R 12s, powered by a Phoenix Gold Titanium 600.2... No SPL monster, but sounds good. I just cannot have a car without low end...its an addiction.

I add enough weight to my car, I'm not going to add more with speakers, LOL.

I think i had a HK in my hellrot...it seamed to sound better than this one. If anything i can get enough bump from replacing stock

How would you fasten that OEM deck you linked at the top into the dash? I don't see covers for the screw holes. the ones that you tighten and they go snuggly into the dash and prevent the deck from being stolen.
