Here's the background. I bought this car from a gentleman on this forum. Here is his original add:

http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=715644&referrerid=32265

Since then I have done the following:

-Fluid change
- Amsoil 5W30 in the engine (full synthetic)
- Valvoline Fully synthetic ATF in the tranny
- Royal Purple 75W140 in the diff (full synthetic)
-New pitman arms
-Racing King rear subframe delrin supports
-New front right wheel bearing (installing this weekend actually)
-New driveshaft (w/ bearing and flex disc)
-New brake disc sensors
-New front grill (new chrome pieces and the supporting plastic behind)

I've driven this car between LA and Colorado with no issues and it was definietly built for that type of trip. The only problem I've had with the car was a broken fan belt and a loose AC belt (these cars are known for belt problems). The driveshaft had a failing center U-joint and it was just easiest to buy a new one than try to repair it. It also removed a slight vibration I was getting.

As you can tell from the original add this car received a full engine rebuild and the tranny was also worked on. I have all the receipts he gave me as well as all the significant ones from my work. The car does have the original keyless entry and it is operational.

I am selling only because my project car (background of the first picture) is finally together and operational. Now that it is out of the shop and living in the garage the M5 needs to go (hate to park it on the street). I am also heading back to school for a graduate degree so having two cars is just not something I want to do.

You can reach me at 970-227-4436. The car is located in Redondo Beach. $18k/obo

$14k with the wheels
$12k w/o the wheels (bring your own)

Thanks for looking,
Daniel

Here are a couple pics of the receipts (taken by previous owner):

Mileage?

TurboWood
03-14-2008, 04:14 PM
My mistake. I purchased the car with 158k I believe and it now has 166k (on the chassis). The enigne was rebuilt at about 143k so it has just over 20k miles on it now.

Thanks,
Daniel

I lived in Loveland and Fort Collins. Durango is about 400 miles S-SW. I agree CO is a beautiful state, but you can't beat CA weather.

When Did You Put The Toyota Motor In It?

TurboWood
04-05-2008, 03:05 PM
I didn't put the Toyota engine in the M5. I'm selling the M5 because the Supra is finally running! The M5 is a sweet car, but it can't match 700hp.

TurboWood

I don't usually get 16 living in LA, but I have seen over 25 on long trips.
